Avery Marilyn

Avery has wanted to be an actress since she was a little kid, seriously the proof is in her kindergarten yearbook. So naturally, she ended up studying theatre at university— on multiple continents! Upon graduating with a Specialization in Acting, Avery quickly got a job as… a small business copywriter and marketer. 

Hold up… she what? Yup! Turns out her departure from acting to marketing was actually the best thing she could’ve done because now, she has the perfect arsenal for VO. Want conversational commercial reads? Avery can easily break down those scripts, after all, she’s written them. Want silly, heart-warming characters? Avery didn’t take clown class for nothing. From explainer videos, to e-learning, to radio spots, Avery’s versatility is the satisfying result that happens when you combine genuine business woman with accomplished artist.  

Sunny and bright, Avery is easy to direct and passionately engaged in every project. She has a warm, get-er-done attitude that will have you enjoying every session. Avery has worked with a variety of clients; the Canadian Mental Health Association, Growing Leaders and Mutant Productions to name a few. She’s lent her voice to full-length animated films too! When she’s not performing in her custom-built home studio, Avery enjoys blueberry tea and going on long walks on the beach (Yes, we hear it too.. but it’s not a joke! It’s a genuine joy she’s discovered since moving to BC’s west coast.) She’ll talk your ear off about the joys of public transit and she’s dying to go on a mountain coaster again.
